In 2015 more than 6 573 000 people were accommodated in the Czech capital, which is nearly half a million more guests than in the year before. There were almost 7% more foreign tourists, with Prague recording a 14% growth in domestic tourists as well. The number of overnight stays increased by nearly 8%, to approximately 15 900 000.

According to the data of Prague City Tourism, tourists are also returning more frequently to Prague, or planning to return. Prague is helped by its excellent transport links as well as by the fact that it is viewed by visitors as a safe destination.

The top 10 nationalities among foreign tourists have not changed significantly. Germans remain at the top, followed by Americans and British. France, Russia, Slovakia and China also have a stable position in the top ten. The greatest increases in overnight stays in Prague were recorded for visitors from Israel, the UK, USA and Germany.
